How To Use Reed Diffusers?

How To Use Reed Diffusers?

After you purchased your first reed diffuser from Pristine Aroma, you might face some challenges especially if you are a first time reed diffuser user. In this article, we try to answer your frequently asked questions as you begin your aromatherapy journey:

How to open reed diffuser bottle?

Yes, we know..the plastic cap on the reed diffuser bottle can sometimes be screwed too tightly into the bottle. This is a necessary precaution so that the essential oils do not leak out inside its packaging. You might use your teeth, it actually works but is not the best idea - the essential and fragrance oils are not the most taste-friendly. Instead, use a blade (be careful!) or spoon, slip it under plastic cap and slowly try to push the cap upward, slowly loosening the cap so you can easily pull it off.

How many reed sticks to use?

Each Pristine Aroma reed diffuser comes with 5 black reed sticks. We recommend using 3-5 sticks depending on the intensity of the scent you want in your room. Using all 5 sticks will maximise the fragrance intensity but will also drain the essential oils the fastest. It is a give and take :) If the scent is too strong, simply reduce the number of reed sticks.

How to make reed diffuser scent last longer?

Over time, your nose might get used to the scent of the reed diffuser which will make you think that the scent is disappearing. Don't worry as this is a common issue especially if you are staying in your room for long hours. Simply flip the reed sticks around to refresh the scent.

How long does reed diffusers last?

It depends on the size of the bottle that you get! Pristine Aroma reed diffusers come in 50ml and 180ml bottles. These will last for 4-6 weeks and 3-4 months respectively. To make your reed diffuser last longer, use less number of reed sticks.
