1. Using Other Containers
Fireproof containers are recommended, but it is possible to safely use other containers. Just make sure they're large enough to keep the melt pool away from the edge and prevent the container from heating up during use.
2. Inserting Cotton Wick
Insert the wick with only a 0.5cm tip sticking out of the pearls, just enough to light it. Make sure to have at least 5cm of sand around the wick and at least 2.5cm of sand under the wick.
3. Lighting Candle
When the wick is inserted correctly, each wick should last up to 12 hours. if your sand is accidentally left burning, the flame will self-extinguish when it reaches the end of the wick without heating up the container. It will also self-extinguish when accidentally tipped over.

I tried with small amount of sand in glass container, need to shorten the wick. It has a nice faint smell in the bathroom. no wastage, use how much you want to.

I put in the bathroom; the smell is just right not too strong. I have tried it in the car, the bottle fell and spill - the scent was too strong. But it should be ok if I can hang it properly and avoid spillage.
